Effectiveness of Rehabilitation
In recent years, the number of individuals receiving rehabilitation services organised by Kela as well as the costs of rehabilitation have increased. The amount of information on the effectiveness of rehabilitation, applicable to the context of rehabilitation organised by Kela, is limited. From the perspective of limited resources, however, such information would be essential.
The Effectiveness of Rehabilitation research project comprises four substudies analysing the effects and impact of Kela’s rehabilitation from different perspectives. Services in vocational, discretional, and intensive medical rehabilitation are included. Different research frames and methods are used in a versatile manner. Kela Research and rehabilitation experts planned the project, and, in the first phase, the focus is on the effects of telerehabilitation.
This project adds to the information on the effects of Kela’s rehabilitation services and provides a basis for future research and development.
