Data content

The report contains data on entitlements to reimbursement of medicine expenses which commenced, were withdrawn or existed during the year, as well as entitlements which existed at the end of the year or had existed throughout the year.

Reimbursement is granted in the case of

• diseases entitling to special reimbursement
• medicinal products entitling to restricted special reimbursement
• medicinal products entitling to restricted basic reimbursement
• diseases entitling to reimbursement for clinical nutrients.

Variables and classifications

• Time: Year
  The default selection is the latest year. Only one statistical reference period can be selected for the report.
• Geographical focus: Whole country, Hospital districts, Regions, Wellbeing services counties, Municipalities
  The regional data are based on the recipient’s municipality of residence at the end of the reference year or as of their date of death. The regional classification is based on the current year’s situation.
• Region: The content presented depends on the selected regional level.
  One or several regions can be selected for a single report.
• Sex: Men, Women, Data not available
• Type of age group: 5-year age group, 11 age groups
• Age group: The content presented depends on the type of age group selected.
  One or more age groups can be selected for a report. If more than one age group is selected, the report will show their total.
• Entitlement to reimbursement: One or several reimbursement entitlements can be selected for a single report.
