Regional overview now available in English and Swedish

The purpose of the Regional overview tool is to offer the employees of wellbeing services counties greater insight into the situation in their own region as it appears in the light of Kela’s statistics. The tool is now available in English and Swedish in addition to the original Finnish.

How many recipients of basic social assistance are there in my wellbeing services county? How does my wellbeing services county compare to other wellbeing services counties and to Finland as a whole? And what is the distribution of Kela benefits among the different municipalities within my wellbeing services county?

The Regional overview tool provides answers to these and to other questions in an easily digestible format. The purpose of the Regional overview tool is to offer the employees of wellbeing services counties greater insight into the situation in their own region as it appears in the light of Kela’s statistics.

The Regional overview tool allows users to view information on the recipients of Kela benefits as well as the benefits paid out and the average amounts of benefits. The information can be viewed by wellbeing services county and municipality. The Regional overview tool shows information on almost all the benefits paid out by Kela in terms of the number of benefit recipients, the amounts of benefits paid and the recipients as a percentage of the population. It also provides in-depth statistics on basic social assistance, labour market subsidies partially funded by municipalities, disability pensions and vocational rehabilitation. Additionally, data on decisions are available for disability pensions and vocational rehabilitation.

The Regional overview tool is now available in English and Swedish in addition to the original Finnish. Select your preferred language by clicking on the menu in the top-right corner of the Tietotarjotin data portal.
