Open data

Open data is machine-readable data which may be freely used for any purpose. Kela makes open data available at avoindata.fi.

Rights of data use

The open data released by Kela is licensed under the CC BY 4.0 licence (creativecommons.org). Kela must be credited as a source.

Data protection

Open data never contains any personal information. Indirect identification of private individuals is prevented. This is usually done by ensuring that the data does not include groups of fewer than four persons. Such small groups are aggregated into larger ones. More detailed information can be found in each data description.
