Use of MyKanta

MyKanta has been available for citizens to use since 2010. The majority of Finns use MyKanta. The number of MyKanta users has grown for several years.

MyKanta was used by more than 3.2 million people in 2024. In total, MyKanta was used 37.8 million times. More than a million individuals use MyKanta every month. On average, a total of 3.2 million logins are recorded in MyKanta per month.

 

 

One-third of requests for prescription renewals are submitted in MyKanta. Prescription renewals can also be requested at pharmacies, by telephone, or at healthcare appointments.

 

 

You can act on behalf of another person in MyKanta. Guardians have been able to act on behalf of minors in MyKanta since 2016. It was first possible to act on behalf of another adult using a Suomi.fi e-Authorization in 2021. In 2024, MyKanta was used to handle other people’s affairs nearly 3.6 million times.
