Presentation

I am a senior researcher at Kela’s Research Unit. My area of study is rehabilitation, particularly the benefits, effects, and effectiveness of rehabilitation. My research interests also include various topics related to functioning and work ability. My previous research has focused particularly on the functioning of older people and influencing it through various interventions such as physical exercise. I am currently a leading researcher for research projects assessing the benefits and costs of rehabilitation organised by Kela, the effectiveness of telerehabilitation in informal caregivers, the impact of TEAK rehabilitation on employment and the impact of Tules rehabilitation on functional capacity. I am also coordinating the research project Effectiveness of Rehabilitation, which is carried out in 2022–2026.
