Presumptions of Social Security

Access to justice is one of the key elements of a welfare state and particularly important in social security, as it is meant to protect those in the most vulnerable positions in various situations and circumstances. This study investigates the barriers in access to justice in the legislation on financial assistance ensuring an individual’s living. In addition, we examine the restrictions the presumptions in income security legislation pose on an individual’s access to justice.
