Changing Health Insurance and an Individual’s Right to Cross-Border Health Services

One of the key fundamental and human rights is access to necessary health services. As the field of medicine is constantly evolving, necessary treatment might be available abroad, and treatment backlog can be tackled by utilising the healthcare overcapacity of another country.

In this study, we analyse how the right to cross-border healthcare is realised in the complex and changing environment of legislation and administrative regulation from the perspectives of equality and accessibility.
