New Kelasto report provides more detailed information on use of parental leave

Data on daily allowances for parents are examined by the child’s year of birth. The report answers questions such as how many fathers take parental leave and for how many days.

The family leave reform that took effect in autumn 2022 has brought changes to the duration and timing of parental leaves and daily allowances for parents. The reform is intended to increase equality in the workplace and between parents and to take different family structures into account better than the previous family leave system.

The new Kelasto report provides more detailed information on the use of parental leave than previous reports. Data on daily allowances for parents are examined by the child’s year of birth. The report answers questions such as how many fathers take parental leave and for how many days.

The report contains information on daily allowances for parents paid in accordance with the law that entered into force in autumn 2022.
