Kela’s Info Tray portal receives international recognition
Kela was also recognised for the services provided to Ukrainian refugees and its new online calculator for family leaves.
Kela’s Info Tray was recognised on 16 April 2024 in an International Social Security Association (ISSA) competition for good practices among European social security institutions.
With a membership of about 320 social security institutions from Asia, Africa, South and North America and Europe, the ISSA is an international organisation for cooperation among member institutions.
“The Info Tray is a continuously evolving channel for reliable and up-to-date statistical and research data with a focus on social security and the Finnish society”, says Arto Vuori, Director of Information Services at Kela. “The importance of the Info Tray is reflected in the fact that it is becoming better known all the time and that its user numbers continue to grow”, he adds.
Kela was also recognised for the services provided to Ukrainian refugees and its new online calculator for family leaves.
“These recognitions confirm that Kela is not only a reliable administrator of social security but also an organisation that is capable of renewal and ready to innovate. We can be quick and flexible when it comes to changing the way we work and adapting to our customers’ needs”, says Outi Antila, Kela’s Director General.
The ISSA competition received 119 entries from 40 ISSA member institutions and from 26 European countries. The recognised entries were announced at the ISSA’s regional social security forum.
The ISSA has recognised good practices in social security since 2008. By recognising good practices, the ISSA seeks to encourage social security institutions to improve their practices and administrative procedures.
